Alpha Delta Pi has long been involved in philanthropies. Since 1979, the national philanthropy of Alpha Delta Pi has been the Ronald McDonald House Charities (Children's Oncology Services, Inc.). Ronald McDonald Houses are located in large cities all over the country, providing "a home away from home" for children who are suffering from cancer and their families. Eta Chi sisters make several trips to the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia, the first RMH built, throughout the year. During these trips, sisters do arts and crafts, cook breakfast or dinner, play games, and keep the residents company, fulfilling Alpha Delta Pi's dedication to community service.
